Vapormatic – Supporting the Cause
Vapormatic help to spread the word for charitable events.
Over the years Vapormatic has supported a variety of different causes, from Tractor runs to rebuilds, and we are pleased to say that all have had successful outcomes. Recently, we have supported a number of good causes that have raised some phenomenal amounts of money for charities around the UK and overseas, including another tractor rebuild for BOAT.
Bicton Overseas Agricultural Trust (BOAT) - Devon
Vapormatic has had a longstanding relationship with BOAT and for many years we have donated 1000s of parts to their tractor rebuilds. This year is no exception, with Vapormatic donating to Bicton College in Devon all the parts they would need to rebuild a David Brown 880 Selectomatic tractor in 24 hours. The tractor rebuild was a huge success with the engineering students completing the challenge just before the 12pm deadline. To see a short video of the rebuild please click here.

The tractor is now going to be raffled off by BOAT and tickets can be purchased at various events throughout the summer. For more information on this rebuild, please click here.

Vapormatic stockists John Bownes Ltd are finally back on home territory after their 1300 mile round trip to the Isle of Skye. Sponsored by Vapormatic, the team made the journey on three vintage tractors in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Vapormatic donated the parts required before the long journey north on the 14th May 2009. Their route took them from their base in Winsford in Cheshire to the Isle of Skye in two and a half days and with the Vapormatic parts fitted to the three tractors, the journey was problem free. Along the way, people were extremely generous to donate to Marie Curie and on returning home, the team were able to donate £1500 to the charity.
Townson Tractors - Yorkshire
Townson Tractors have also been raising money for charity in aid of their local Sue Ryder Hospice and the Airedale General Hospital at their open day in February. The Vapormatic stockist, based in Hellifield near Skipton raised £2000 for their charities by raffling off prizes (some of which Vapormatic had donated) and a tombola.
These fantastic achievements make a big difference to worthy causes and Vapormatic are proud to be able sponsor them.
