Vapormatic Filters - Lab Tested and Field Proven

A focus on the high quality of Vapormatic filters and the important role they play in the smooth running of your engine.

Ignore them at your peril

They may not cost much, make no noise and have little or no moving parts, but engine filters are on the front line of the war against particle ingestion. Not only that, they are pivotal in ensuring the engine works at optimum performance from the moment you turn the ke,y to the end of a hard days’ work.

It is important to change your filters at the recommended intervals to prevent premature wear of parts or even total engine failure.

Lab Tested

To demonstrate the quality of Vapormatic filters, Vapormatic has conducted a test between a Vapormatic filter and that of another leading agricultural brand. The picture below shows a Vapormatic filter (Right) next to the competitor filter (Left) after the top of the filter is cut off and the element extracted.

TOTAL

32 x 35 x 102 = 114,240mm2 (117in2)

36 x 75 x 102 = 275,400mm2 (426in2)

As you can see Vapormatic’ s filter pleats are much closer together indicating that there are more of them, 75 to be precise against the competitors 35. This means that there is a bigger filtration surface area within the Vapormatic filter than that of the competitor filter.

A few filter facts:

·       A typical diesel engine will require 8,000-10,000 gallons of clean air for every gallon of fuel that it burns, which makes the air filter a key player in preventing premature wear and even catastrophic failure of the engine from ingested foreign objects.

·       Quality Vapormatic fluid filters remove the tiniest of particles, down to as little as 10 microns in some instances, every time the fluid passes through. A human hair is around 50-70 microns thick.

·       Many Vapormatic oil filters contain non-return valves to stop oil draining back to the sump. This means each time the engine is started oil is ready to be delivered and this dramatically cuts down on engine wear.

·       Filter performance reduces over time as the media fills up with particles and contaminants. Replacing filters at the recommended intervals will keep your machine running at optimum performance.

·       Cleaner fluids and gases extend the service life of the components that use them.

·       All Vapormatic filters are benchmarked against original equipment (OE) manufacturer specifications for micron and flow ratings to ensure they match or exceed the performance offered by the original. And with many millions of filters being sold over the years, you can be sure of field proven performance.

In general the difference between filters can be hard to spot from the outside, but by buying from Vapormatic you can be guaranteed parts you can trust. This is backed up by our industry leading 12 month warranty on all products.
