The VLC5501 Vehicle Immobiliser has been acknowledged as a quality solution to vehicle security and whilst it is easy to install, the many complexities of modern day tractors mean that it is important that installation is conducted by an experienced engineer. VLC5501 - Immobiliser Approved Installer Programme

Tractor theft is a risk to every farm and many tractor and agricultural vehicle owners are looking for solutions to keep their vehicles safe and in many instances, help to keep insurance premiums down.

The VLC5501 Vehicle Immobiliser has been acknowledged as a quality solution to vehicle security and whilst it is easy to install, the many complexities of modern day tractors mean that it is important that installation is conducted by an experienced engineer. As such, Vapormatic administrates an 'Approved Installer Programme for the VLC5501 Immobiliser'.

How does the scheme work?

This scheme invites engineers to undertake an induction, 'education' and assessment process to ensure complete competency and the highest standard of installation; giving customers and insurer's total confidence of a professional service. This includes a PNC (Police National Computer) check.

How do I become an Approved Installer?

You will need to complete an initial enquiry form and return it to Vapormatic (available online please visit www.vapormatic.com/security). An application pack with full instructions will be sent to you, including best practice guidance, 'training' materials and an assessment questionnaire.

There is an administration cost of £75 + VAT (excluding the PNC Check) to undertake the assessment and registration.

What happens when I am approved?

On successful completion of your application, Vapormatic will issue you with a Certificate and an 'Approved Installer ID number' which is to be used on all VLC5501 Immobiliser product warranty registrations. Vapormatic will also promote the list of approved installers to enquiring 'customers'.

For those engineers wishing to become Thatcham approved it is necessary to first become accredited by the 'manufacturer/distributor'. The Vapormatic approved installer programme is recognised by Thatcham.

To download a copy of the form simply visit www.vapormatic.com/security and click on 'Approved Installer Programme'. This page contains a link to the application form.
