Vapormatic helps grow new talent

The latest Vapormatic diagnostic software for new tractors produced by Texa industries was on show for Herefordshire Technology College’s Holme Lacy students this week as part of one of their project modules. The visit is thanks to Vapormatic and Leominster-based Stockist Carpenter Goodwin Ltd, who are one of the main UK distributors of the product which has been revolutionary within the industry.

Richard Galling, New Business Product Engineer for Vapormatic set up the software on the College’s John Deere 6030 and explained, “A lot of traditional agricultural engineering equipment hasn’t changed really, but electronic developments are rapid. New tier regulations are much tighter now. Once students are in employment after education they will be expected to be able to use this level of equipment to meet emissions regulations as well as other legislation.”

Richard Carpenter from Carpenter Goodwin Ltd commented, “This experience will give the students a key insight in to the rapidly changing world of agricultural technology. It’s in the best interest of all parties involved to support our industry, so it is hoped that everyone will benefit from this experience.”
